1. Introduction and Acceptance

This User Agreement Policy ("Agreement") governs your access to and use of the Student Information System ("COSIS") developed by the Zambia Research and Education Network (ZAMREN) ("licensor") and provided to you through your institution ("institution"). By registering for an account, logging in, or otherwise accessing or using the System, you agree to be bound by our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy . If you do not agree with any part of this Agreement, you must not use the System.

2. Your Account and Responsibilities

When you create an account with us, you guarantee that the information you provide is accurate, complete, and current at all times. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, including but not limited to the restriction of access to your computer and account.

• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
• You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.
• You must not use the account of another user without their express permission.

3. Permitted Use and Prohibitions

COSIS is provided for your personal and academic use related to your affiliation with your institution. You agree not to use the System for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by this Agreement.

• Prohibited Activities: Any attempt to gain unauthorized access to the System, other accounts, or computer systems connected to COSIS.
• Engaging in any activity that interferes with or disrupts COSIS or the servers and networks connected to the System.
• Uploading or transmitting any viruses, worms, defects, Trojan horses, or any other items of a destructive nature.

4. Content and Intellectual Property

All content, including text, graphics, logos, and software available on the System, is the property of your institution or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any content without explicit written permission.

5. Termination of Access

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the System immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Agreement.

• Upon termination, your right to use the System will immediately cease.
• If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the System or contact us for assistance.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

COSIS is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. Use of the System is at your own risk. The System is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or course of performance.

7. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your Country/Jurisdiction, e.g., Zambia], without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

8. Changes to This User Agreement Policy

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace this Agreement at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
